A Ghostwriter? Not Me...

Being an author was always something I knew I wanted to be, but being a ghostwriter wasn't even on my radar until the opportunity presented itself.

It was at the beginning of COVID in March 2020 when someone reached out to me, knowing that I had been writing books and was preparing to launch my business to help other people write theirs, and asked, "Would you consider writing my story for me?" She was listening to the calling to share her story with the world because it had been on her heart for while, but she knew that she wouldn't have the time or energy to dedicate to it, let alone the interest in fully sitting down to write it.

It was a question I hadn't considered before.. I knew I wanted to help people write their books, but would I be willing to write someone's book for them? Once we got on the phone to talk about it and I heard about her story, the message within it, her heart behind it to help inspire as many people as possible... it was a resounding yes for me. I knew this was a journey I wanted to be on with her, and it didn't matter if I received recognition for writing this book or not.

I also knew it would be quite the undertaking in time and energy, so after doing some research on ghostwriting rates, I gave her a quote of $36,000. She said yes, and we set out on one of the most beautiful and rewarding experiences I’ve ever had in my life. It was transformative for her, and transformative for me, and transformative for the readers who read her book and responded with how life-changing her story was.

From then on, I knew this was a path that brought true fulfillment to me. Years later and many, many books ghostwritten later of clients of all different backgrounds and walks of life, it’s safe to say that I’ve learned a lot about what to do and what not to do. These days I charge a minimum of $55,000 for a ghostwriting project that lasts 4-8 months on average. It’s the biggest honor when someone decides they want me to be on the forthcoming journey with them because it’s intimate, challenging, and beautiful.

If you know me at all, you know my passion is to help as many people as possible capture their life story. I do it through book coaching, but ghostwriting is another avenue that allows me to do that. And if there’s anything I've learned over the past year, it’s that more and more people are opting for this path to write their book, because life is busy, and they understand to get their book done, they need to hire someone else to write it for them. Since Ghostwriting has been such a rewarding path for me, I want to help others who love to write explore this as a possible path for them as well.

What's your experience? How many books have you ghostwritten?
I've authored 8 books of my own, book coached hundreds through the writing of theirs, and have ghostwritten 8 books and counting, across multiple genres. This course was designed around my experiences collaborating with multiple clients, and what's worked, what hasn't, how to protect yourself and them, and how to navigate the world of ghostwriting to be successful without completely burning out.

Why do you think this course is necessary?

Ghostwriting is a high demand field. People want to share their stories but they don't want to write it themselves. I'm personally on a mission to help as many people capture their stories as possible because I believe in the power of storytelling and how it creates deeper connections while inspiring and empowering others who need to hear the messages within the most. There are people who are designated Scribes in this world, meant to write the stories of our people. If you're one of them, I want to help you to help others.
